Your Projects and Local Browser Storage

Project processing and website delivery are separate parts of using the site.

Where the project lives

Calculator inputs, project editing and material calculations run in the browser. Saving a project writes a local record for this site in the current browser. The workflow does not require a user account or provide cloud synchronization.

A saved record can contain project and area names, dimensions, material parameters, notes and prices you entered. Someone with access to the same browser profile or an exported file may be able to read that information.

Local calculations do not mean zero website traffic

Opening the site still requests pages and assets from its hosting service. Hosting and network services may process technical request information according to their own operation and applicable terms. Local project calculations should not be confused with a promise that no access logs exist.

Following an external source link takes you to another website with its own practices. PackLedge does not control those sites.

Understand the copies you create

A JSON backup contains the editable project record. PDF and CSV files contain information for reading or review, including project names and material details. The files are created locally for download; sharing them is a separate action you choose.

Review notes and names before sending a file to someone else. Browser deletion does not remove downloaded files, email attachments or copies already shared.

Keep browser saving within its limits

Browser data can be cleared, blocked or made unavailable. A successful local save is convenient for returning in that browser, but it is not an external backup or a guarantee of permanent retention.

Theme preference is also stored locally when available. If a storage operation fails, use the feedback to distinguish the unsaved state from a successful save and keep a JSON backup where possible.

Choose what to retain

Delete saved projects you no longer want in that browser and manage downloaded copies separately. Avoid putting personal details into project notes unless they are useful and you are comfortable keeping them there.

Advertising is disabled in the supplied site configuration, and the project workflow does not depend on an advertising account. Consult the Privacy page for the published site’s operator and any configured services; those details must reflect the site you are actually using, not assumptions about local calculations.

Frequently asked questions

Will a project appear on another device automatically?

No. Browser saving is local to the current site storage and browser profile. Use a JSON backup and a deliberate import to move an editable project.
