Enter the measurements and product details, then calculate.

An area estimate, not a cutting layout. Cuts, shape and pattern placement can affect what you buy.

Retain the individual floor measurements

List each room or floor section with its own dimensions and exclusions. Use the same tile specification only when the product, face dimensions and box size match. A different format remains a separate purchase group.

Area totals can be combined without discarding the original measurements. This matters when one room changes or a section is removed from the project.

Example: 4 m² and 6 m² areas

Two net floor areas of 4 m² and 6 m² total 10 m². With a chosen 10% allowance, the shared requirement is 11 m². For illustrative 0.3 m square tiles packed 12 per box, the combined estimate is 123 pieces and 11 boxes.

If the rooms are purchased separately, 4.4 m² needs 49 pieces and five boxes. The other 6.6 m² needs 74 pieces and seven boxes. Separate purchases total 12 boxes, one more than the combined order.

Why the purchasing totals differ

Each separate room rounds to a complete final box. A shared order rounds after adding compatible unrounded requirements. The difference comes from packaging, not from reducing the measured floor area or cancelling the selected allowance.

Keep the grouping honest

A shared purchase is appropriate only when you intend to use the same material and compatible packs. Do not merge products just because both are described as floor tiles. Keep different prices or currencies meaningful as well.

The result remains an area estimate. It does not guarantee that offcuts from one room can be used in another or that a particular pattern fits the combined tile quantity.

Frequently asked questions

Does one fewer box guarantee the layout will work?

No. Shared rounding changes the area-based purchase count. Cuts, orientation and usable offcuts still require a separate layout review.
