Concrete Quantity for a Shed Base
Use the base dimensions you have chosen, then keep the material estimate separate from the design decision.
Your measurements
Changing units changes the display, not the stored measurement.

Enter the measurements and product details, then calculate.
These tools estimate material quantities from dimensions you choose. They do not specify structural depth or load capacity.
Distinguish the shed from the pour
The shed’s published footprint and the concrete area you intend to pour may not be identical. Enter the dimensions of the concrete space itself. If the base contains an opening or unfilled section, divide the included pour into non-overlapping rectangles so that space is left out. The slab form does not have a separate deduction field.
Measure the depth specified for the project. This page does not recommend a base thickness, load capacity, reinforcement arrangement or ground preparation.
Example with an entered base specification
For an illustrative pour 3.6 m long, 2.4 m wide and 0.12 m deep, the net volume is 1.0368 m³. A user-chosen 5% allowance gives a required volume of 1.08864 m³. Keep that unrounded value while choosing a purchasing unit.
Record the product specification
At an illustrative mixed yield of 0.012 m³ per bag, 91 bags supply 1.092 m³. The difference beyond the adjusted requirement is 0.00336 m³. Do not replace the product yield with bag mass or round the volume prematurely to make a convenient bag count.
Keep other concrete work separate
An access ramp, path or additional slab can be another area in the same project. Preserve its dimensions and decide whether the material and order timing match before combining the requirements. The final list should still show which volume belongs to the shed base.
Before purchasing, compare the inputs with the chosen base specification and the product information. A quantity result does not confirm that the base is suitable for the building.
Frequently asked questions
Should I use the shed dimensions or the base dimensions?
Use the dimensions of the concrete volume to be filled. The shed footprint alone does not establish the size of that volume.
